We’ve brought my daughter’s 86 Subaru Brat here twice to get various things worked on. It’s not an easy car to find parts for or to find a mechanic to work on. Ian does great work, communicates well throughout, and only does what needs to be done while advising us on what to keep an eye on for later. We will be coming back, for sure.

Very professional and knowledgeable
I was on vacation in Bend and my transmission/clutch was making a grinding noise. I called and was able to get my car into the shop that morning. Ian diagnosed the issue and was very knowledgeable and upfront on the time/cost of the job. Ian was able to replace my clutch and get me back on the road the next day after receiving the parts needed. Knowing that Ian was taking care of my car I was able to enjoy my vacation and leave when needed. I highly recommend this shop especially if you own a Subaru.

We visited 541 Imports to replace the alternator on our Acura. They finished so quickly and even went above and beyond and replaced a dipstick we didn’t realize was missing from a previous shop's service. Overall a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this shop.

My old 1987 Subaru, my main car, was broken down and needed an alternator ASAP. Ian ordered the part from his Portland supply guy (I took the last one) and it arrived the next morning. He installed it for me right when it arrived and I was able to make my dental appointment. Extremely happy with him caring for me. Well mannered, patient, honorable, respectful and skilled.
